Happy National Poetry Month! (Part 1)

Going to do things a bit differently this month! Because my life isn’t busy enough (sarcasm) I’m going to attempt to write a poem a day, instead of a poem of the month.
I’ll post my progress for the week every Sunday, but if you want daily updates, I’ll be posting on my Instagram story.
Some may end up being written under 30 min, some may get hours worth, some may get the full day. Either way, I hope you connect with something or get inspired in some way! I'll also upload pictures of my awful handwriting for now so if you have any questions on what a word may be, let me know!
Here are the first two poems and the prompts they spawned from.
4/1: Beverly, The [C*caine] Bear.
Write about a character from a recent movie. I think "Cocaine Bear" is peak cinema, so I'll probably revisit this poem for more drafts down the line.
4/2: Hail Mary and Gardens.
It was my mom's birthday. She goes by Mary. Flowers are cool. Tada!
