Galaxy in a Bottle.

It feels great to naturally evolve into a better version of yourself.

I try to do it each time I perform. November's monthly TDN Poetry Show was the third time I've touched a mic in two weeks (and the progress is noticeable).

Five years ago, I didn't think I'd ever memorize a piece of mine and now I've performed "Bachatero." twice from memory. The second recital feeling more natural than the first.

It also felt great to hand off poetry books to a few people and it motivated me even more to finish the manuscript of my debut full-length collection.

Just more baby steps along the way.

Below is a recording of the poem from last week, "Human Nature Is More Than Science Says It Is."

I performed that at the show on the 11th and ran it back again for this performance. It fit well into a set of introspective pieces and set a certain tone for the rest.
